Plastics, reuse and the end of the razor and blade model, Lauren Rabbitte of ECS The Greener Side shares her insights on the plastics issue today (see page 35). It is a thought-provoking read. As more and more governments start to tackle the single-use plastics issues by wanting more reuse. The OEM’s current razor and blade model will be coming under pressure from legislators. When it comes to printer cartridges, and despite what the OEMs say, at least half of all cartridges could be reused. One action we could all support is to make shredding reusable cartridges an environmental crime.
