Brother UK supports channel partners

Brother UK launched four new services for its channel partners aimed at offering new income streams.

PCR reports that the new services launched by Brother UK are Order Supplies, Barcode Print+, a new Remote Panel Service and Request Help. All four are services channel partners can activate for their users on printers and scanners and allow the end-user to request and use these services at a touch of a button.

These are new software options for the channel partners to sell with or alongside the hardware and allows the channel partners a new opportunity for income growth.

Talking to PCR, Aaron Hopkinson, Product and Solutions Manager at Brother UK said: “These small solutions can solve big pain points for the end customer and ultimately help to free-up employee time for more business-critical tasks. This allows resellers to have more meaning discussions with business customers. Each is compatible with legacy hardware, creating an opportunity for channel partners to reengage with customers and provide valuable consultancy on their print systems.”

Hopkinson added: “This is just the beginning for Brother Software Solutions, and we look forward to continue launching services that can deliver significant benefits to businesses and our channel partners.”

Order Supplies is a Brother service that enables users to order the correct toner cartridges as and when they need them. Users simply press the ‘Services’ icon on their printer’s home screen and select ‘Order Supplies’.

Brother’s Barcode Print+ enables users to easily print barcodes from their Brother printer by simply supplying their printer with the information for the barcode, the barcode is then printed exactly as it should appear.

Brother’s business devices now also have a Remote Panel solution that enables IT departments or IT service providers to remotely troubleshoot print device issues. The control panel of the printing device can be operated remotely from the comfort of an IT providers desktop PC.

Request Help is a Brother service that enables IT administrators or printer service providers to easily troubleshoot errors that may occur. Users simply press the ‘Request Help’ icon on the control panel and a full diagnostic report is created and automatically emailed to the IT administrator.
