Canon Inc. has announced the filing of further Report Infringement Forms with Amazon Italy.
The first form is based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CE505A” offered by SOS Promoting di Anastasio Gianfranco under the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01CYI65E0, B00J9DHQW4, B015FSLMA8, B00ALISL52, B009YEN95Q, B06XWS6RF8, B06Y66ZF91 and B004OJOVCQ.
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products, which are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CE505A and consist of a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
The second form is based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280A” offered by Lemy S.r.l.s. under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B07CK2L2VJ.
Amazon also took down the products concerned, which are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280A and provide inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
These forms are the latest in a slew of reports filed by Canon with various divisions of Amazon as part of the OEM’s well-documented war on patent infringement.
