Armor Group’s CEO, Hubert de Boisredon.

The company has joined the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, which brings together operators in the field of clean technologies.

Armor’s membership is the latest of its efforts in support of social responsible innovation, which have included the production of ASCA flexible and 100 percent recyclable photovoltaic film.

The World Alliance for Efficient Solutions was established by Bertrand Piccard’s Solar Impulse Foundation, and is seeking 1,000 efficient solutions to “protect the environment in a profitable manner.” Among the members of the alliance are innovators, investors, prospective users, public institutions and other large groups committed to a sustainable future; the members are working together to create synergies, share knowledge, and establish links which, in due course, will “accelerate the implementation of clean and profitable solutions capable of meeting our current environmental challenges.”

Armor Group CEO Hubert de Boisredon said: “By becoming a member of the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, the Group is reinforcing its position as a socially responsible French manufacturer, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation.”

“Yes, we are concerned about the environment and the impact we can have on it. We have even turned these very concerns into the catalyst of our industrial creativity,” de Boisredon continued. “We have joined the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, set up by the Solar Impulse Foundation in November 2017. This will enable us to exploit the strength offered by partnerships. Armor has therefore teamed up with ADEME under the umbrella of the FIL’REC project.”

He added: “At the same time, Armor is not forgetting its objective to remain a successful market leader in its historic sectors. The Group has just signed an agreement to acquire the thermal transfer ribbon business of the US firm Iconex, making Armor a market leader in the US, the world’s biggest market for thermal transfer technology.  Lastly, Armor Office Printing is extending its offering by adding a new range of remanufactured copier consumables.”
