Badger Office Supplies has been ordered to pay an employee over £2,400 ($3,081/€2,708), following the Tribunal’s finding of an “unauthorised” wage deduction.
The Tribunal, concerning the case of Mr J Williams vs his employer, Badger Office Supplies Ltd, took place on 12 November 2018 in Manchester and was presided over by Employment Judge Sherratt.
During the course of the proceedings, it was decided by the Tribunal that Badger Office Supplies had made an “unauthorised deduction” of Mr Williams’ wages, and as a result must pay him a “gross sum” of £2,423 ($3,110/€2,734).
Badger Office Supplies is a distributor of both OEM and remanufactured printer consumables, with a head office and purpose-built 100,000sqft distribution centre in Lancashire. Currently, the business serves “over 1,000 trade customers” and has a workforce of over 100.
