BLI success for Canon USA

The American wing of the OEM has collected a clutch of honours from the testing company.

Canon USA is celebrating several accolades from Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab (BLI). These awards include being named the 2018 Copier MFP Line of the Year, for a third year in a row.

The OEM’s American branch is also toasting success in the BLI Winter 2017 Pick awards: Its imageFORMULA DR-M260 has been named the Outstanding Workgroup Scanner, whilst its Color imageCLASS MF630 series (MF632Cdw/MF634Cdw) was declared the Outstanding Personal Colour MFP. The Color imageCLASS MF730 series (MF731Cdw/MF733Cdw/MF735Cdw), meanwhile, won in the Outstanding Colour MFP for Small Workgroups category.

The BLI Awards celebrate vendors whose product lines are determined to be the best in their category, based on test results from its two-month laboratory evaluation. The Pick awards are chosen by the company’s staff of technicians and editors, after devices from every major OEM are tested.

George Mikolay, associate director of copiers/production for BLI, said: “The models in Canon’s copier MFP line are running three years strong as trailblazers in their respective segments. Each of the 14 current models BLI tested tout easily replaceable components, extraordinarily comprehensive usability, and an astonishing overall misfeed rate of just 1 every 426,000 impressions, making them some of the most productive and reliable machines to pass through our labs to date. The surplus of workflow-expediting, cost-cutting solutions that each device supports are icing on the cake, and the machines can produce high-quality printed and copied output that businesses of all types will be ecstatic about.”

Canon was “honoured” to win the Copier MFP Line of the Year award for the third consecutive year, said Toyotsugu Kuwamura, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon USA.

“It is with great pride that we continue to develop solutions that embody next-generation technological capabilities to help our clients more seamlessly conduct business and streamline workflow operations,” added Kuwamura.
