Brother International GmbH, the Japanese group’s sales subsidiary for Germany and Austria based in Bad Vilbel, Hessen, has been certified by Great Place to Work as an Attractive Employer 2023/2024.

Benefits such as “holiday pay, muesli bar, training island, attractive goal system, the variety of free drinks and subsidized canteen food” were particularly praised in the anonymous employee survey. Others highlighted the “ambition in terms of sustainability”, the “possibilities of working from home”, the “high social skills” or the “good working atmosphere”.

Brother had already scored in a survey in 2018 with a very good and above-average rating from its workforce. This time, 83% of all employees took part in the survey and the results were even better: The employees attested to their employer especially in the areas of “credibility” (79% compared to 62% for the average of all participating organizations, “respect” (78% vs. 57%), “fairness” (78% vs. 63%) and “team spirit” (85% vs. 67%) an outstanding performance.

“We are very pleased that our employees rated us so well in an anonymous survey,” said Katrin Hill, Head of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility. “The certification also provides us with valuable impetus to further develop ourselves as an employer.”

The “Great Place to Work® Certified” certification programme from the international research and consulting institute stands for a special commitment to shaping workplace culture and is awarded according to a secure process. Components include independent, anonymous feedback from employees and the analysis of human resources measures and programmes.
