The Cannata Report is set to produce its first ever bonus issue showcasing the office imaging industry’s Japanese ‘Big 6’ companies, as MPSConnect reveals.

This first-ever special interest publication, known as “Access Japan”, will feature exclusive editorial content on the companies known as the “Japanese Big 6” – namely, Konica Minolta, Canon, Ricoh, Kyocera, Sharp and Toshiba.

The publication will incorporate “extensive interviews with numerous leading executives headquartered in Japan” and will be “reported entirely from The Cannata Report’s meetings from its upcoming spring 2018 visit” to the country.

The issue is sponsored by GreatAmerica Financial Services.

“This exclusive content and bonus issue underscores our editorial commitment to provide the most relevant intelligence for our audience by combining insight and analysis with in-depth reporting on the global strategies and future plans of the OEMs,” said Scott Cullen, Editor-in-chief.

Frank G. Cannata, President and CEO, commented: “In this upcoming OEM Japan tour, The Cannata Report’s 14th trip to Japan in 40 years, we will review new product developments and technologies from the viewpoint of the independent dealer channel of the future, an editorial theme we have explored throughout 2018. The insights and perspective we can provide through our previous investigative reports from Japan will prove invaluable for our audience.”

While on tour in Japan, the Report’s management team “will create content […] that will be shared across all of its media platforms”.

“It is fitting that our first ever bonus publication and related digital content will chronicle our upcoming visit to Japan and provide a deep global dive into the Japanese Big Six, a perspective that has distinguished The Cannata Report throughout its 30-year plus history,” said CJ Cannata, adding, “In GreatAmerica, we found the perfect partner for the customized integrated marketing program we created to support ‘Access Japan.’ We are thrilled to take this notable next step of our strategy to provide powerful connections like this to engage our advertising partners with our audience.”

The Cannata Report will also “prepare a comprehensive presentation outlining the key findings from its Japan reporting for six dealer groups, including GreatAmerica’s Dealer Council, other industry associations, and its clients.”

Jennie Fisher, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the office equipment group at GreatAmerica Financial Services stated, “GreatAmerica is proud to sponsor The Cannata Report’s ‘Access Japan.’ This is a meaningful way for us to illustrate our commitment to the dealer channel and the exciting future that lies ahead by way of value brought to them from the OEMs.”
