The OEM and the electrical hardware company have announced they are taking their business partnership further.

Canon Solutions America has announced that its collaboration with Legrand North and Central America is being extended, to offer support to the 15 new companies recently acquired by Legrand. The announcement means that these subsidiaries will enjoy access to Canon’s reange of office equipment and software tools, according to The Cannata Report.

The long-standing relationship between Legrand and Canon has “grown significantly over the last five years,” taking in joint initiatives and collaborations on new offerings, including an electronic fax distribution solution which routes incoming faxes, throughout a company or organisation.

They also joined forces recently to plant more than 120 trees as part of the Replanting Our Forests Programme run by the Arbor Day Foundation, and which Canon supports by contributing to the planting of a tree for every imageRUNNER ADVANCE multifunction system it has sold.

“A few years ago we were selected as the strategic vendor to implement a printer reduction strategy throughout Legrand as part of their sustainability goals,” said Peter Kowalczuk, president, Canon Solutions America. “We are committed to helping our customers reach new heights in their sustainability efforts, which in turn can help create a ripple effect on a local, national and international scale. We are excited to build on this great relationship with Legrand North and Central America’s most recent company acquisitions and demonstrate to our customers that we are here to help them in their mission to become economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.”

Legrand’s Vice-President of Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, and Public Policy, Susan Rochford added: “Ensuring our Purchasing Partnerships help minimise our environmental impact is important to us at Legrand. We are excited to be announcing this unique initiative as part of our commitment to building sustainability into everything we do, including our ongoing relationship with Canon Solutions America.”
