The OEM has calculated how its activities in the first half of 2020 has resulted over 3,000 listing removals from Amazon in Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States.
Canon Inc. announced that in about the first half of 2020, it has used the Amazon Reporting Tool and/or letters of inquiry to successfully remove 79 listings from Amazon in Australia. Since September 2019, the total number of listings removed is 167.
The listings offered third-party laser toner cartridges which Canon believes infringed one or more of Australian Patent Nos. 2014208277 and 2007205464.
In the first half of 2020, Canon has used the Amazon Reporting Tool, letters of inquiry, and/or information letters to successfully remove 2,321 listings from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France and Turkey. Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed is 6,408.
The listings offered third-party laser toner cartridges from vendors which Canon believes infringed one or more of European Patent No. 2 087 407 and European Patent No. 1 977 289.
Canon also announced that in the first half of 2020, it has used Amazon takedown procedures to report infringement based on 692 listings, all of which now have been removed from Amazon in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America. Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed is 1,861.

No. 9,581,958, Canadian Patent No. 2,635,791, Canadian Patent No. 2,910,527, Mexican Patent No. 308881 and Mexican Patent No. 317598.
