The report follows the revised guidelines of the International Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) from 2021. It categorizes major challenges related to environmental and social impact according to their priority. Canon has used third-party auditors to verify the environmental data, while efforts are made to expand the disclosed human capital data.
Starting this year, the Sustainability Report and the Canon Integrated Report are published separately. This change allows Canon to focus on sustainability-related initiatives and deliver more relevant and valuable information to readers.
