Canon U.S.A., Inc. has received recognition as a leader in the IDC MarketScape: U.S. Multifunction Peripheral 2018 Vendor Assessment (doc #US43533617, February 2018).

“Like most MFP manufacturers, Canon is working diligently to transition its strategy to a solutions-led approach,” says Keith Kmetz, Program Vice President, imaging, printing & document solutions, IDC. “Its goal is to help organisations drive greater efficiencies through improved business processes and workflow automations, which it accomplishes through its smart MFP portfolio and strong sales channels.”

Canon’s comprehensive imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform spans both colour and monochrome solutions. The Company provides both horizontal- and vertical-specific workflow solutions built around NT-ware’s uniFLOW, Nuance’s eCopy ShareScan, and Therefore™ solutions. End users can deploy each solution in a variety of configurations, ranging from independent installs for smaller businesses to large, integrated solutions crafted to meet the needs of specific enterprises.

According to Canon, strategic partnerships with Box™ and mxHero* also bring new opportunities, “changing the way in which users store, manage, share, and collaborate through the cloud with email, paper, and digital content.” The OEM explains that, for dealers, “such partnerships extend beyond traditional solutions to help them offer customers a streamlined content management platform.”

“Our strong heritage and well-regarded reputation in this market affords us the opportunity to help change the way businesses work with information,” says Toyotsugu Kuwamura, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “We are honored to achieve this ranking from such an esteemed technology market research firm and look forward to continuing our initiatives to promote the Office of the Future in 2018 and beyond.”
