Canon UK & Ireland appoints new HR Director

Canon UK & Ireland announced the appointment of Kathryn Scott as its new HR Director.

In her new role, Scott will be responsible for not only driving forward its people vision including its inclusive culture, but also supporting the business in continuing to develop a growth mindset to help Canon realise its mid-term growth ambitions.

Scott brings with her a strong track record operating as a HR Leader across a variety of sectors, including telecoms, entertainment and technology. She has built extensive experience partnering with CEOs and business leaders to provide support to help teams and organisations grow and thrive, Canon explained.

Prior to joining Canon, Scott has held roles at Cisco, Imimobile, Antenna International, Sky and T-Mobile. She has experience working across a range of both local and international roles and has been exposed to a broad range of change initiatives, including relocations, acquisitions, new start-ups and restructures.

She has been dedicated to delivering a range of people development programmes, including DE&I initiatives, employee engagement activities and a variety of development interventions.

Scott holds a MSc in Human Resource Management; is a Chartered Member of the Institute for Personnel & Development (MCIPD); and also holds accreditations in coaching, counselling and psychometric testing.

Scott will be taking over from Debbie Brown who, after seven years, will be moving internally to a new role as EMEA HR Director, DRBG, effective 1 July 2023.
