The OEM has launched a new WG7200 series of MFPs designed to provide “consistent, high-quality output via user-replaceable consumables and self-serviceable designs that boost workflow productivity and reduce downtime.”

As Graphic Arts explains, these new A3 devices provide a “low total cost of ownership”, require very little maintenance and offer “high-quality, high-speed printing.”

There are four models in the series, each of which provide a first-printout time of 6.5 seconds, with print speeds ranging from 40-50 ppm in General Mode to 70-80 ppm in Office Document Mode, “in both colour and black and white”.

Canon’s Full Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering printhead system “aids the smooth delivery of ink by reducing the turbulence of airflow.”

Optical and in-nozzle sensors “monitor ink ejection and a new ink formulation with low surface tension minimises smearing and bleeding.”

These printers support a range of media, such as envelopes, different paper sizes, and matte photographic paper.
