Christian Slater reprises HP role

Following his appearance in the OEM’s short films exposing printer vulnerabilities, Slater is reprising his role as The Wolf in a new HP Studio production.

HP has released a 10-second teaser clip of the film, which will also be tackling “endpoint security”.

The previous production, a 20-minute short which also starred Jonathan Banks, of Breaking Bad fame, was brought to life using the creative talents of Lost in Translation cinematographer Lance Accord.

As HP’s Chief Technologist of Print Security, Shivaun Albright, explained, “we haven’t reached awareness to secure print devices, and all the good security practices that are employed to protect other devices are not being deployed with consistency to printers. Printers tend to be overlooked as being part of the overall IT security policy, yet these devices can put a customer’s network at risk if not secured properly.”

HP’s short films starring Slater are a means of educating the public about the importance of maintaining their printer’s security. Stay tuned for the next release.
