The Dutch-based components engineers and distributors Creative Imaging Technologies BV (CiT) has announced it has become the official partner and distributor of Shenzhen, China’s Intelet Electronics Ltd.
Following the partnership deal, both companies will support clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and merge their sales activities. The distributorship is considered the result of a long term co-development and cooperation with each other, and both companies are looking forward to more growth into the EMEA area.
CEO and CiT owner Thijs Tuinstra explained “that they have seen Intelet grow in the past couple of years, as a result of intense cooperation with CiT,” whilst Intelet’s International Sales Director, Ivan Zhang, said that “working with Thijs his team has been a great privilege, his know-how about the market and strategy to grow, it has been a learning experience for us.”
Tuinstra explained that the technical know-how at Intelet on the development of chips was initially focussed on Kyocera and OKI, CiT’s main markets. “Then we moved on to more niches like UTAX and Olivetti.”
“The past years, Intelet invested a lot in main brands like HP, Samsung and Lexmark and with CiT we have been able to penetrate the market a lot,” said Zhang. “Recently we are focussed on more copier chips products for Sharp, Konica Minolta and Ricoh.”
“Effectively,” Tuinstra added, “CiT offers more than 3,000 different models of chips in laser and copier, and in Holland permanently stocks 150,000 pieces of chips for distribution to basically anywhere in the world.”
The partnership will be officially signed at next year’s Paperworld trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.
