Shivajinagar District Court caught in counterfeit toner scam, vendor under investigation for fraud.

The Bridge Chronicle reported that a vendor supplying toner cartridges to the Shivajinagar District Court in Pune has come under investigation after allegedly selling counterfeit products.

The vendor supplied 30 toner cartridges that were “labelled as products from a well-known brand. However, upon use, the toners were found to be defective”. The faulty cartridges were sent back to the vendor who replaced them, “which were again found to be defective”.

An investigation has been launched and court officials are also reviewing procurement procedures to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
