Datamax receives Canon award

The company has been named a Canon Advanced Partner for the sixth consecutive year.

The honour qualifies the Texan office technology and solutions dealer for an array of tools and training, from Canon, to best serve its clients.

Fewer than 10 percent of all of the OEM’s Office Equipment Dealerships qualify for the Advanced Partner Programme, which offers “client-serving advantages” such as priority product and service training, sales support tools and enhanced ordering support.

“I am extremely proud of our Datamax family for once again earning this recognition from Canon, particularly for doing so six straight years,” said Datamax Inc. President Barry Simon. “Canon has played an integral role in our own growth and advancement, and being named an Advanced Partner further enables us to provide best-possible service to the organisations we serve.”

“The Canon Advanced Partner Programme recognises the best of the dealer community,” added Shinichi “Sam” Yoshida, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Canon’s Business Information Communications Group. “With the Advanced Partner Programme, we can take our relationship and your business to the next level.”

Datamax and Canon can look back on a partnership lasting 36 years, with “a shared commitment of providing first-in-class products and solutions with the highest calibre of service response and resolution.”

President Barry Simon previously served as Chairman of the Canon Advisory Board, and currently still sits on the board. He credits Canon as being “a true partner in Datamax’s continual pursuit of Creating Raving Fans.”

Last year, the Texas and Arkansas-based company received the Association of Technical Service Professionals (ATSP) National Service Recognition Award from Canon USA, for an eleventh year in succession. At the time, the company said that the “decade-plus long streak confirms Datamax’s elite technical support expertise and customer service performance, along with its commitment to top-level training for its technicians.”
