Horizon Capital backed DMC announced the acquisition of Artel, adding further coverage and capability to the DMC Group.

Artel was established in 1985 and is headquartered in Slough. The business serves over 500 customers principally in the Thames Valley region and across several key sectors including healthcare, education and legal. The acquisition further strengthens DMC’s southern region following the acquisitions of Condor Office Solutions and Systems Technology in December 2019, the company said.

Andy Young, Regional Managing Director, South commented: “Artel is yet another excellent business with a first-class reputation with its customers and partners and will scale our operations in the Thames Valley.”

Simon Davey

DMC CEO, Simon Davey, said: “Despite the challenging conditions of 2020 we continue to deliver on our strategy to build the leading UK-wide workplace technology business built upon long term partnership with over 11,000 customers. Artel adds further capability and scale and is an excellent addition to the Group.”

Luke Kingston, Partner at Horizon Capital, said: “This is the 7th acquisition DMC has completed since we invested in the Group in 2018 and it is now the leading independent operator in the workplace technology sector. We look forward to supporting Simon and the team as they continue to acquire within this fragmented landscape.”

DMC Canotec supports its 11,000 customers by making their work easy, using leading workplace technology. DMC’s expertise and experience spans four key areas, Managed Print services, Information Management systems, Agile Working solutions and Telecoms and IT services.
