DocuWare announces acquisition of DocuScan

DocuWare, a provider of document management and workflow automation solutions announces its acquisition of DocuScan. 

Headquartered in Erftstadt near Cologne, Germany, DocuScan an IT services provider in the field of digitisation for over 20 years, has built its reputation by providing expert services and customised workflow automation solutions to medium-sized enterprises throughout Germany.

“When we heard of DocuScan’s plan to sell, it quickly became clear that not only would an acquisition protect their employees and customers; it would also allow us to merge their skills, experience and expertise with ours to lead the way in improving business efficiency and workflow automation,” stated Dr. Michael Berger, DocuWare President.

Michael Bochmann, who will remain Managing Director of DocuScan within DocuWare said: “There is great value in becoming part of DocuWare. My team and I look forward to contributing core knowledge to DocuWare’s global growth plan to enable its Partners and positively impact future product development.” 

DocuScan is wholly owned by DocuWare and will continue to operate as an independent entity within DocuWare.
