Epson America welcomes Contreras

Epson America’s Joseph Contreras

Joseph Contreras has been appointed by the OEM as its new Commercial Marketing Executive for Office Solutions, leading the new division of the company’s commercial inkjet printer business.

In this role, Contreras will be responsible for overseeing portfolio management, strategic partnerships, software integration and support, and sales and marketing programmes for WorkForce Enterprise inkjet printing solutions

“The business printing market is evolving, and with the significant strides in technology that inkjet solutions have made in recent years, disruption in the industry is on the horizon,” said Contreras. “Epson is at the forefront of that innovation, including PrecisionCore advanced print head technology and Replaceable Ink Pack System solutions.”

Contreras added that he was “excited to spearhead the sales and portfolio strategies to position our channel partners for success in this changing market, and empower them to offer the most productive and cost-effective solutions to their clients.”

With over 18 years of strategic and creative marketing experience, the newly-appointed executive is tasked with creating growth strategies for the company’s WorkForce Enterprise printer business division. Contreras will also develop strategies to implement and sustain an ecosystem of third-party ISV partners to support WorkForce Enterprise product sales.

“Epson has assembled a high-calibre leadership team to drive sales, marketing and service to ensure the success of our business inkjet business,” explained Mark Mathews, Epson America’s Vice President, of Commercial Sales and Marketing, who called Contreras “a natural choice given his track record in the industry, strong skills and proven success in the BTA channel.”

“His addition to the team will create a cohesive, focused and agile team capable of attaining our growth goals,” Mathews added.

Prior to joining Epson, Contreras, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, was the Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing for Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. and was responsible for US and Latin America marketing strategies, channel programmes, strategic partnerships and business development for the company’s product portfolio.
