Epson launches new Minilab photo printer

The SureLab D700 Minilab is described as “a fast, compact, and dynamic printer designed to empower photographic printing labs, event photographers, and e-commerce printers with new levels of productivity.”

The printer features UltraChrome D6-S dye-based ink technology, which in conjunction with its print engine design will deliver “vibrant, glossy, true-to-life images.” The OEM states that the compact printer is “built for demanding environments,” such as retail, resort, and event photography, and can produce up to 430 4”x6” prints an hour, with varying finishes and sizes.

Among the features promised by the new printer are: “Exceptional image quality”; an “advanced print engine design”, featuring Epson’s MicroPiezo AMC printhead; “outstanding versatility”, allowing users to print in various sizes across various surfaces; a compact footprint, offering “maximum flexibility and scalability”; and the requirement of “minimal maintenance”, with consumable replacement and periodic cleaning.
