Epson is offering unlimited free ink for two years in the USA and Canada on its latest model launches in the EcoTank Pro series.
The latest models launched by Epson in its EcoTank Pro series are the EcoTank Pro ET-5800, EcoTank Pro ET-5850, EcoTank Pro ET-5880, EcoTank Pro ET-16600, EcoTank Pro ET-16650 and EcoTank ET-15000 models.
Epson said: “To further support the printing needs of businesses, Epson is introducing an ‘Unlimited Ink for Two Years Programme’ with EcoTank Pro models.” Customers who purchase and register an EcoTank Pro series printer are eligible to receive reimbursement for replacement ink bottles.
Available for the above-mentioned printers, purchased between 26 March 2020 and 31 March 2021, Epson offers to reimburse registered users for each purchase of ink bottles they make. Users will need to register their purchased printer and buy the ink upfront and then get the refund once they have sent in their ink receipt, usage history report and empty 542 ink bottles.
Refunds are limited to four bottles per claim. Each claim cannot contain multiple bottles of the same ink colour.
Epson first launched high-capacity ink tank inkjet printers in October 2010, in Indonesia, and by FY2018 had expanded into some 150 countries and regions. By first establishing a presence in emerging markets and then making inroads into developed economies, Epson has seen its high-capacity ink tank models account for a growing percentage of the total inkjet market each year.
Epson originally launched in 2017 its ReadyInk which was described by the company as a “hassle-free and subscription-free service” which allows its customers to register with their retailer or reseller when they purchase their printer and sign up for this automated system, which will supply “genuine ink cartridges” whenever their ink begins to run low.
On 17 June 2019 Epson launched ReadyInk with Amazon Dash Replenishment which allows customers to register their Epson printer with Dash Replenishment in just “a few simple steps”. Customers can activate Dash Replenishment, which works with Epson ReadyInk technology to monitor ink levels and automatically reorder the moment more is needed, ensuring customers never run out of ink.
