Epson has announced that its ET-2700/3700/3750/4750 cartridge-free ink tank inkjet printers and its WorkForce Pro WF-3720/4720/4730/4740 multifunction inkjet printers have been named iF Design Award 2018 winners by Hanover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH.

Created in 1953, the iF Design Award is recognised around the world as one of the most prestigious awards for innovative industrial product design excellence. Products are evaluated based on a wide range of criteria, including practicability, workmanship, consideration of environmental standards, degree of elaboration and innovation, functionality, usability, safety, aesthetics, and universal design. This year’s winners were selected from 6,402 entries from 54 countries and regions by a 63-member jury comprised of experts from around the world.

Manabu Kawahara, general manager for design in Epson’s Printing Solutions Operations Division, says, “I am delighted to receive this prestigious award. Epson’s aim is to create products that help improve the quality of people’s lifestyles and work, and this goal is at the forefront of our minds as we seek to design products that exceed customer expectations.”

ET-2700/3700/3750/4750 ink tank inkjet printers

This A4 multifunction inkjet printer features large ink tanks, and boasts high productivity and cost efficiency, according to the OEM. The printer has a tank that does not stain when refilled, making the printer easier to use. The tank is in the front, which improves accessibility and makes it easier for users to check the ink level. Simply insert the ink bottle, and the mechanism automatically refills the tank to its full capacity. The tank juts out from the printer, showing its impressive capacity, and the simple, round shape of the casing expresses a robust durability that fits perfectly into any living space.
