Epson restructures UK & Ireland print division

Epson said it shows serious commitment to business inkjet printing as the only segment to see growth over recent years and names Richard Wells Epson UK’s first Head of Sales for Office Printing.

Epson efforts to replace laser printers & MFP’s in the UK and Ireland with sustainable, heat-free inkjet solutions under a managed print service have increased with a new restructure that sees a specific focus on business inkjet sales, which continue to be available only through Epson’s channel partners.

As part of the restructure, Richard Wells, previously responsible for sales across Epson’s whole business portfolio, now leads a division dedicated to managed print services for business inkjet. Senior management includes Channel Manager Nick Taylor, who runs a team of channel-centric Account Managers working directly with the channel to secure end-user sales for and with them. And Business Manager Mark Rosindell is now responsible for a team of product management and framework specialists dedicated to managed print services and public sector sales for business inkjet.

Richard Wells, Head of Sales for Office Printing, commented: “Epson has been a disruptive force in the market and we’re building trust within the channel community through an unfaltering, 100% indirect sales strategy. Having met with businesses and partners in Glasgow during COP26, the appetite for a more sustainable solution is clearly on the rise and turning down the heat with a heat-free printer is just another simple choice we can make to reduce our environmental impacts.”
