Fifty Office Depot stores closing

A list of locations has been revealed of Office Depots and Office Max stores that are planned closure.

As of al.com reveals, Office Depot has announced closures of fifty stores after it revealed first-quarter sales had fallen by two percent to $2.8 billion (€2.49 billion).

According to al.com, both Office Depot and Office Max stores are affected and closures will start taking effect as of 18 May. It continues, the “remaining 1,300 locations will undergo a redesign to feature electronics, printing products and business servicer and deemphasize office supplies.”

At the beginning of May Office Depot announced the new hire of Stephen M. Mohan as Executive Vice President of the Business Solutions Division and its new Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, Richard Haas.
