The Korea Times interviewed Fuji Xerox Korea President Takashi Otani about the changes happening at Fuji Xerox Korea.

Talking to The Korea Times about the change in the printing landscape with more companies transforming to paperless, Fuji Xerox Korea President Takashi Otani describes the changes for the office equipment market as equipment will evolve to meet the consumer demand.

Takashi Otani said to The Korea Times about printer manufacturers: “Communication using paper documents is still prevalent but it is true that paper use is decreasing, and industry data show the shipment of printers is also declining. However, manufacturers are evolving their printers by adopting information and communication technologies such as cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence (AI). I am sure that printers will keep evolving to stay abreast of the technology changes.”

During the interview Otani explains that Fuji Xerox Korea is “now aiming to help its customers use less paper with its document management services, and provide ways to digitize their paper documents, not sell more printers.”

Otani sees the challenges change and describes Fuji Xerox Korea as agile and reacting to the fast-paced changes in the office equipment market.

Fuji Xerox Korea, according to Otani is transforming from an office equipment producer into document management consulting firm and is looking to become the best partner for its customers.
