Ninestar announced that it has had various G&G products tested by SGS who verified that the tested G&G products comply with RoHS and REACH.

Recently, SGS verified that all tested G&G products comply with Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), REACH Regulation, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), which the company said is showing G&G delivers safe, environmentally-conscious products that customers feel safe to buy and use.

SGS is a multinational company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland which provides inspection, verification, testing and certification services, and is one of the top five institutions for testing and certification.

The RoHS directive took effect on 1 July 2006. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment (EEE).

Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Union regulation dating from 18 December 2006. REACH addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is the directive that limits electromagnetic emissions from equipment in order to ensure that, when used as intended, such equipment does not disturb radio and telecommunication, as well as other equipment. This directive ensures that all electrical and electronic equipment, placed on the EU market comply with the allowed adequate level of electromagnetic compatibility.

G&G submitted products, including replacement toner cartridges for HP 17A, HP 26X, HP 412X, Brother TN-247, Samsung 404 and etc.; and replacement inkjet cartridges for Canon 580/581, HP 950/951 and etc.; covering 10 mainstream OEM brands.

Mr. Ni Ming, Director of Ninestar Quality Management Department, said: “Ninestar aims to provide customers with safe, high-quality products. So does G&G, Ninestar’s own brand. SGS is the world’s leading inspection company, we are happy to know all submitted G&G products successfully passed the tests. Our future objective is to comply with, or exceed all applicable and anticipated environment regulations.”

Ninestar is one of the few manufacturers in aftermarket that has passed the IECQ HSPM QC 080000 certification. This certification means that Ninestar’s control of hazardous substances is in line with international standards.
