HP Instant Ink promo turns into music video

Aimed at the parents and the Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) preparing their children to return to school, the latest promotion for Instant Ink returns to 90s music.

In its latest promotional clips for its Instant Ink programme, HP has taken on the 90s Backstreet Boys song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” with its spoof of “Back-to-School, Alright!”.

This latest campaign HP calls “HP Pays Your PTA” the spoof songs celebrate the first day back at school after about a year of home learning.

With this latest campaign, HP is raising money by getting school PTAs to sign up for the fundraiser programme. With a unique URL, the PTAs then go out to their parent and for every sign up to HPs Instant Ink programme through that unique URL a donation from HP is triggered to the school. The OEM said it will donate up to $3 million (€2.56 million).

Most recently HP’s marketing campaign included promotional clips with vampires.

If you want to know more about HP’s Instant Ink programme, Daniel Orth, CEO of Tonerdumping recently wrote a very insightful article on the programme.
