HP’s vampire video promotes instant ink

HP turns to vampires to promote their instant ink programme.

HP’s latest marketing campaign from Goodby Silverstein & Partners is enlisting modern-day vampires, portrayed by Beth Dover (Orange Is the New Black) and Tom Musgraves (Fargo) in an Adams family idea. The theme is a vampire couple who have been around for a while and seen history evolve, but Instant ink changes their world.

The “They Print at Night” campaign is a series of spots directed by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney via production house Raucous.

Our take on this: Over 60 people collaborated on the HP campaign, so it is definitely not a budget video, but it made us smile. If you know any vampires, then instant ink is a great programme. Meanwhile, a growing band of mere mortals who use the instant ink programme have launched a Class Action complaint alleging HP fails to deliver in a timely manner.
