The company released a notice for HP printers using the 95X series cartridges.
IAICON informs that on 24 January 2025, HP released a new firmware update for printers that use the 95X series cartridges. The new firmware version identified is 2502A, 2502B, and 2502AR.
This update was distributed via Wi-Fi and may cause compatibility issues, displaying the error message “Non-HP Chip Detected” on certain printers. As a result, some printers may fail to recognise cartridges and become unusable.
IAICON advises to disable automatic firmware updates and for users to not manually update the firmware either.
