IAICON warns of new firmware update

by | Dec 18, 2024 | 0 comments

The company announced that HP released a new firmware update on 11 December, but it has already developed a solution.

IAICON in its announcement says that the firmware update from 11 December 2024 affects several device models using cartridge models CF258, CF259, CF276 and W2020/2030/2040. The use of third party supplies might be affected.

To counter this, aftermarket suppliers and retailers recommend that users disable the automatic firmware update on their printers. Go to printer settings and make sure that Automatic Updates is turned off. By turning off automatic updates in the printer’s settings menu, users can prevent future blocks on non-HP cartridges.

A solution for this latest firmware update, AICON recommends the use of the Unismart mini 2.
