Katun looks to 2021 and shares plans

Katun recently held its EAME 2021 Connect Conference within the EAME Business Unit outlining plans and strategies for the new year.

The conference was internal to start with, but the company said that the plan is to use the platform with strategic Katun Authorised Distributors and key dealer principals in an ongoing effort to be “More than Just a Supplier” to Katun’s 5,000+ customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Katun said the past year had certainly presented everyone with new business and personal challenges, deeply changing our professional lives. The company emphasised that it has stayed focused to the mission of providing its dealer and distributor customers with a broad portfolio of high-quality products and services.

During 2020 Katun’s portfolio expanded to include new products for the OEC channel, new features and products within the Katun Dealer Fleet Management portfolio. A general expansion of the focus on sustainability, including expansion of OEM refill and remanufactured product portfolios, new devices added to the remanufactured MFP/MFD portfolio and active participation in the Katun “Print It, Plant It” Reforestation Programme by PrintReleaf. Katun’s participation in this programme has resulted in the planting of 115+ trees in 2020.

Katun expects that 2021 will continue to present challenges, but believes that there will also be many opportunities. According to Heidi Boller, General Manager of Katun’s Europe Africa Middle East Business Unit, “the office equipment channel will be under a lot of pressure to manage costs and Katun has worked closely with our customers throughout 2020 to be more than just a supplier – we are a business partner. We look forward to engaging with new prospects and continuing the development with our established customers to show them why Katun is a perfect choice to reduce costs, positively affect environmental impact and promote sustainability.”

In January, Katun launched a first-to-market product suite using 95% recycled plastics, another way that the Katun family is actively promoting environmentally sustainable products. Look for the Katun Eco Friendly logo on the packages.
