Through its recycling centre “Save Resources”, KMP has achieved a milestone of recycling 405 tonnes of ink and toner cartridges over the years.

Taking to Social Media, “Save Resources” celebrated that the recycling centre has managed to stop 405 tonnes of cartridges go to landfill.

The company added: “And not only that: as part of our humanitarian initiative, up to €10,000 are donated annually to aid organisations by returning old ink cartridges and toner cartridges.”

Ink cartridges and toner cartridges consist of high-quality components that can be refilled or reprocessed and are in no way just waste.

“Save Resources” is the recycling centre of KMP AG and through its KMP recycling programme, the collected components are returned to the market as remanufactured printer cartridges. Resources are conserved and waste is avoided.

Four organisations are currently affiliated to the initiative and benefit from the programme and receive up to €10,000 a year, The German Childhood Cancer Foundation, terre des hommes Germany, The German Diabetes Foundation and the aid organisation APOTHEKER HELFEN e.V.
