Konica Minolta placed on VAS framework

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd announced it has been awarded a place on the new Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Vertical Application Solutions (VAS) procurement framework.

Konica Minolta’s successful application to participate in Lot 1 (Business Applications) of the VAS framework was demonstrated through its work with one of the biggest public service departments in the UK government.

The company delivered an enterprise wide roll out of OpenText Documentum – an enterprise content document and records management system – to its 80,000 users. The solution conformed to the department’s digital platform transformation journey, replacing a legacy platform, which was unable to deliver against its future business requirements for the storing of sensitive content.

Starting in March 2023, the VAS framework replaces the Data and Application Solutions framework and enables central government, including its arm’s length bodies, devolved administrations, the wider public sector and third sector organisations, to access software focused solutions that meet the specific needs of their respective industry, business application or services.

From March 2023 through to September 2025 Konica Minolta will provide software, associated licensing and hardware through the VAS framework, from its extensive portfolio of Intelligent Information Management, Content Management, Digital Process Management, Data Capture and Process Automation solutions.

Jason Barnes, Head of Public Sector at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd said: “The technologies and expertise available to the public sector, from Konica Minolta, via the Vertical Application Solutions framework are targeted at driving efficiency gains and optimising resources across government departments.”

Barnes continued: “The company has a well proven track record in serving this sector, using our portfolio of software, hardware, and services. We are proud to be awarded a place on this new framework.”
