The OEM has released its latest financial results relating to the “current period”, the nine months ended 31 December 2018.

In this period Konica Minolta recorded revenues of ¥777.5 billion ($7.089 billion/ €6.309 billion), an increase of 3.6 percent year-on-year. Operating profits were ¥50.5 billion ($460.485 million/€409.790 million), up 73.6 percent on the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In its report, Konica Minolta says that the Office Business segment rose, “driven by sales of high-speed colour models and IT services solutions”. Professional Print also recorded an increased revenue “reflecting a higher number of sales of colour and monochrome models, and industrial printers”, the company added.

According to Konica Minolta the sales of monochrome A3 MFPs declined, but sales of colour models rose consistently in this period. In Europe, USA and Japan, high-speed products launched in the previous fiscal year were “key drivers of the higher unit sales”. In countries like China and India the variety of models sold ranged from low to high-speed.

The IT services solutions business unit recorded a 2.1 percent increase in sales which was fuelled by acquisitions in Europe and USA and strengthening sales and service delivery capabilities, according to Konica Minolta.
