Konica Minolta sees revenue declines

Although some business segments grew in fiscal year 2020, Konica Minolta saw revenue declines for the period of ¥132.7 billion ($1.22 billion/ €999.81 million).

For the full year period Konica Minolta recorded revenues of ¥863.4 billion ($7.91 billion/ €6.5 billion), a 1.3% year-on-year decrease. Although Measuring Instruments and other business segments saw increased revenues, the company said it still saw Impact from continued and reinstituted constraints on activity in Europe and the US.

In the Digital Workplace segment which includes the “office” element Konica Minolta said that it saw a significant recovery trend for hardware. This in turn, the company believes, will see increases in non-hardware revenues in FY2021.

For its FY2021 forecast, Konica Minolta predicts revenue growths of 9% overall and has set overall revenue predictions at ¥940 billion ($8.6 billion/ €7.1 billion) for FY2021.
