The company has published its financial results for the year ending 31 March 2024.
Sales revenue for the period was ¥2.004 billion ($13.03 million/ €12.14 million), a slight decrease of 1% year-on-year. Operating profit was down in double digits (27.7%) at ¥92.92 million ($592,744/ €552,518).
For Kyocera’s Solutions Business Segment, which includes its Document Solutions Unit, sales revenue was ¥1.101 billion ($7.02 million/ €6.55 million), a 3% increase year-on-year. Operating profit for the segment was up 69.4%.
Kyocera explained that sales revenue increased in the Document Solutions Unit and the Communications Unit due to increased sales of principal products and services, as well as the impact of a weaker yen.
Kyocera predicts a small increase in sales revenue (2.3%) for next year (fiscal year 2025 ending 31 March 2025).
