The company has released its consolidated results for the three month period ended 30 June 2022.

Despite ongoing supply chain issues, Kyocera recorded a year-on-year sales revenue for the period of ¥491.954 billion ($3.76 billion/ €3.68 billion). The company explained: “During the three months ended 30 June 2022 (the first quarter), reflecting concerns about a resurgence of COVID-19 and unstable global situations, supply chain disruptions and price increases in raw materials, etc., continued.”

In its Solutions Business, sales revenue for the three months increased by ¥29.984 billion ($229 million/ €224 million), or 13.1%, to ¥258.003 billion ($1.97 billion/ €1.93 billion), compared with ¥228.019 billion ($1.74 billion/ €1.7 billion) for the previous first quarter. Kyocera said: “Sales increased due to increased sales of major products and the impact of the weaker yen in the Industrial Tools Unit and the Document Solutions Unit.”

Within the Solutions Business Unit, Document Solutions recorded sales revenue of ¥86.036 billion, a decrease year-on-year from ¥101.177 billion ($773 million/ €755 million) for the same period of the previous fiscal year.
