The annual CIO 100 Awards celebrate 100 organisations and the teams within them that are using IT in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimising business processes, enabling growth or improving relationships with customers.

Lexmark announced it has been named to the 2020 CIO 100 list by IDG Communications. The award honours Lexmark’s digital transformation project, known as Global Optimisation 365, in which the company reimagined and rebuilt the way it standardised, integrated and streamlined its global systems, tools and processes to establish a solid foundation for future growth.

The OEM explained that in less than a year, Lexmark replaced the productivity, communications and collaboration software used daily by 8,900 employees in 170 countries, optimising thousands of devices, systems and processes and dramatically reducing operating costs. “The project resulted in a fundamental shift in how Lexmark operates,” said Brad Clay, Lexmark Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Compliance Officer. “At its core, we transformed the way we work so that Lexmark can deliver better experiences for our partners and customers. With seamless systems, analytics and business process transparency, we are positioned as an agile, innovative market leader.”

“Today’s most successful companies are using IT to deliver business value, whether by enabling growth, optimising business processes, or improving relationships with customers,” said Adam Dennison, Publisher, CIO, and Senior Vice President and General Manager, IDG Events. “We are honoured to showcase the technology innovation shown by this year’s CIO 100 winners and look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at the CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony in August.”

Executives from Lexmark and other winning companies will be recognised at the CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony on 19 August at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
