Mefatech GmbH to liquidate after 23 years of operation

by | Jun 4, 2024 | 0 comments

Mefatech GmbH, a longstanding player in the printer supplies market, has announced it will cease operations and enter liquidation after 23 years in business.

The decision follows intensive restructuring efforts over the past 18 months. Despite these efforts, Mefatech’s management concluded that there were no viable options left to secure the company’s future.

The company cites relentless pressure from Chinese competitors, rising costs, and increasing bureaucracy as contributing factors to its closure.

In a statement, the company expressed deep gratitude to its customers, suppliers, and employees for their loyalty and support over the years. “Without your long-standing loyalty, we would never have made it this far,” the statement read. The company will officially close its production, wholesale operations, and factory outlet at Zeppelinring 17b on 15 July 2024.

The factory outlet remains open for clearance sales until this date.

Managing Director Deiss also extended heartfelt thanks to the staff for their dedication and hard work, acknowledging their crucial role in the company’s achievements.

Mefatech GmbH specialised in medical and colour technology, and its closure marks the end of a notable chapter in the printer supplies industry.
