MORGENSTERN AG is starting the new year as a ‘carbon-neutral company’.
The owner-managed group of companies from Reutlingen has had its own CO2 emissions and potential savings analysed by external management consultants.
“After we have been aligning and further developing our product portfolio from an ecological point of view together with our system partners – in whose selection the sustainability aspect plays a major role – for many years, the step towards becoming a climate-neutral company is only logical,” said CEO Robin Morgenstern. “As a medium-sized family company, we have a responsibility to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible and to continuously reduce it.”
Together with the sustainability experts from Focus Future, the CO2 footprint of the MORGENSTERN Group was first determined in order to identify savings measures on this basis and derive concrete recommendations for action.
The group of companies then decided to offset the remaining, unavoidable emissions through certified projects as part of the cooperation with a focus on the future, in order to achieve the goal of a ‘carbon-neutral company’.
What began as a one-man company in 1971 is now a leading independent document system house in Baden-Württemberg. With 290 employees at ten locations, the MORGENSTERN Group offers individually optimised solutions for everything to do with print and document management and generates annual sales of over €40 million ($45 million).
