After opening the branch in Lahr and founding the company in Basel, the MORGENSTERN Group took over the Print Services division of Printcom Output Management GmbH in Lörrach with effect from 1 January 2023.

The new location in Lörrach opens up additional growth prospects for the MORGENSTERN Group combined with a further strengthened regional presence in southern Baden. Together with the MORGENSTERN location in Freiburg and MORGENSTERN Solutions AG in Basel, which was founded in 2022, and the branch in Lahr, which was also added in 2022, the existing customers of the group can be supported even more intensively in their output management and digitisation projects, as well as others new customers are gained, the company explained.

In addition to the customer base, MORGENSTERN AG has taken over the employees of the Print Services division of Printcom Output Management GmbH.

Robin Morgenstern, CEO of MORGENSTERN AG and CEO of the group: “Printcom’s product portfolio fits perfectly into our technology ecosystem. We are pleased that the team at the Lörrach site, with its many years of expertise, will continue to strengthen the output management offering for our customers. I am also convinced that the integration of the business area will further accelerate our growth course.” In addition, both MORGENSTERN and Printcom address the same customer segment. The focus on a comprehensive consulting approach also connects both companies. As early as 2022, the MORGENSTERN Group had also taken over a division of Informationstechnik Klumpp GmbH based in Lahr.

The integration that has now taken place is part of a consistent, strategic orientation of the MORGENSTERN Group in order to continue to grow even in a challenging environment. “We are a successful and healthy company. Even though we faced major challenges due to the massive shortage of raw materials and interrupted supply chains, we are robust and maneuverer through the past financial year with a clear compass,” said Thomas Morgenstern, Chief Financial Officer of MORGENSTERN AG and CFO of the group, which was responsible for the past fiscal year 2022, in which the company was able to generate preliminary total sales of €40 million (42.6 million).

Erhard Wezel, Head of Technical Service and Materials Management at MORGENSTERN AG and COO of the climate-neutral group, added: “Due to serious delivery bottlenecks in the output management hardware, existing systems were not exclusively replaced by new devices, but also expanded through increased maintenance in the life cycle. With this sustainable approach, the MORGENSTERN Group was able to continue to ensure the performance of its customers.”
