Firefighters were dispatched to the Canon plant in Newport News this week to put out a roof fire.

As 13NewsNow reports, the firefighters were called out just after 1:30pm on 23 January 2018 to extinguish a roof fire at the 12000 block of Canon Boulevard.

Chief Robert Alley revealed that the blaze was “quickly extinguished”, resulting in minimal damage to the roof of the plant, meaning the warehouse could “remain operational.”

The cause of the fire is now under investigation. There were no injuries.
