KBM reported that the organisations are joining forces from 1 January 2021, whereby members of the Officers will join Office World, which will amend its statutes and will be renamed.
Officers is the network organisation associated with the BKM trade magazine for leading people in all sections of the office sector. Its members are manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, contract stationers, retailers and office supply owners. The organisation was founded eight years ago by Joost Heessels and Peter Damman.
Office World is the trade association for suppliers of office supplies and products for business management.
“With this we are establishing a powerful organisation that represents the interests of a large part of the sections in our industry,” said Geo Aldershof from Office World and Joost Heessels from Officers.
By joining forces, members of both organisations will have access to an even larger network and more services can be offered to its members.
In practice, there will be two types of memberships within the new organisation. An associate membership that, in line with the current Officers membership, which will give access to only the meetings. A full membership also gives access to an extensive range of other services. The services include an extensive marketing package around the KBM trade journal.
“During the talks between the two organisations, an enthusiasm quickly arose to work together in the future. In doing so, we greatly strengthen each other and offer the market a very strong platform,” said Geo Aldershof and Joost Heessels.
