OKI Europe has released a new video celebrating its thirty years of “industry firsts”.
As the video explains, OKI was launched in Germany in 1984 and released its “breakthrough” ML100 series printer with SIDM print technology in the same year.
This was followed in 1987 by what the OEM describes as the “legendary” Microline 300 series – which OKI reveals is still sold today.
In 1989 the company unveiled Europe’s first LED printer, and in 1990 OKI acquired Technitron and expanded its European operations.
This growth was followed by a series of more firsts, such as the OKIPAGE 8c, its first digital LED colour printer, with print speeds the twice of its competitors.
OKI then kicked off the 21st century in grand style with the launch of the A4 C7000 and A3 C9000 series, with a print speed triple that of the competition.
In 2005, the company maintained its list of industry firsts with the unveiling of the C5500 MFP, the very first colour MFP in the world.
A few years later, in 2012, OKI Europe revealed a total refresh of its product portfolio during the Smart Business Conference held in Barcelona. This included the launch of “revolutionary white toner printers”.
In 2014, OKI debuted its Shinrai Channel Partner Programme across the continent, and the steady stream of innovation has continued since then, with the launch of further products.
