In a letter to the European Commission, the OEM body, EuroVAprint confirms that OKI Europe Limited has withdrawn from the Voluntary Agreement.
In a letter to the European Commission and seen by The Recycler, the OEM body, EuroVAprint has advised that OKI Europe Limited has withdrawn from the Voluntary Agreement, effective from the 31 December 2020.
The letter cites the reason behind the decision is “that OKI’s current product range will not allow it to meet the energy consumption Tier 1 requirements for TEC products of (currently) 75%, due to be introduced in the latest draft version of the Voluntary Agreement.”
OKI has been asked to submit their data for the compliance report covering the period from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020, EuroVAprint confirmed.
The EuroVAprint body now consists of ten OEMs (Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Sharp, Toshiba and Xerox)
