The latest company to report its consolidated financial results is Oki, reporting a decrease of ¥61 billion ($579 million/ €483 million) in net sales for the nine-months period ended 31 December 2020.
For the nine-month period Oki reported net sales of ¥266.9 billion ($2.53 billion/ €2.11 billion), a significant decrease year-on-year of ¥61 billion ($579 million/ €483 million). Operating income was a loss of ¥2.6 billion ($24.7 million/ €20.6 million) for the reporting period.
For its Components & Platforms segment, which now includes printers, sales fell ¥25.8 billion ($245 million/ €204 million), to ¥135.2 billion ($1.28 billion/ €1.1 billion) for the nine-month period. Oki said that this is due to continued impact from COVID-19 and mainly the overseas markets. In particular, the Asian markets have been more stagnant according to Oki. The company has seen some improvements in Europe and the United States though.
