Pelikan reseller programme offers rewards

Print-Rite Pelikan Solutions promotes the benefits for its resellers and its incentive programme.

The company explained its Pelikan reseller partners make 50% margin and win incentive points that turn into virtual cash to buy hundreds of different products.

Steve Weedon, Chief Executive, Print-Rite Pelikan Solutions, said: “Our reseller partners appreciate the brand value and performance quality of our products as well as understanding that customers want a real alternative to OEM originals without worrying about poor quality, being ripped off, or using products that infringe OEM patents and get taken down by OEM legal actions.

“Resellers need to find ways to increase margins and get away from the lowest price wins mentality, to survive. At Print-Rite Pelikan, we support the brand as an OEM supports their brand, our Reseller Partner programs, incentivise customers to buy so they don’t need to discount to sell.

“Everyone wins. The customer gets high quality performance products with complete peace of mind and saves 30% from the OEM original price. Pelikan Reseller Partners make more profit and builds a protected recurring revenue and profit stream. It also gets them out of the “lowest price wins” mentality that goes nowhere,” said Reinder Dijkstra, Country Manager Print-Rite Pelikan Germany.

“Over the summer months many large Reseller groups have become Pelikan Reseller Partners looking for ways their members can increase  profit margins, and we deliver”, said Paul Callow European Marketing Executive, “uniquely, our model rewards end user customers as well, with virtual cash points they can use to buy hundreds of products for themselves.”

Recent research by Bazaarvoice shows that globally, 39% of consumers who purchased from new brands during lockdown and a significant 88% will continue to buy from those brands in the future.

Editor’s Opinion: Pelikan is an iconic brand and has been around longer than most of the OEMs, but the challenges are many in a market that is, at best flat, and more likely contracting heavily this year. A positive aspect of the pandemic (if the pandemic can ever be described as positive) is that as we are all evaluating our buying decisions and more importantly, willing to invest in those decisions to deliver better value and service. Pelikan can and should benefit from a focus on delivering a return for resellers.
