PrintReleaf expands into Japan

Goof Co., Ltd. is PrintReleaf’s first partnership in Japan, and will enable the company to offer reforestation services to offset printing.

Goof provides printing services through “Print of Things,” a service platform that allows customers to freely utilise print media according to their business objectives.

Even if printing is optimised, CO2 emissions cannot be reduced to zero. While planning to visualise CO2 emissions in order to contribute to its clients’ ESG management, Goof have faced many harsh realities, including calculation methods, regulations that vary by region and country, and an unclear roadmap to carbon neutrality.

This partnership with PrintReleaf emphasises “putting into practice what is possible” and aims to contribute to customers’ ESG management through printing.

PrintReleaf explained: “We worked with experts in the printing and forestry industries to develop standards, methodologies and technology platforms that enable companies to offset paper consumption through tree planting and reforestation. Currently, the number of partners is over 300, the number of customers is over 7,400, and a total of over 5.24 million trees have been planted.

“We collaborate with various reforestation projects around the world, and users can also choose from among these projects to support.”

Jordan Darragh, Founder & CEO, PrintReleaf commented: “We are excited to embark on this partnership with Goof, as our first Japanese commercial print service provider, and also as a fellow Dscoop member. There is so much value in protecting and restoring our environment, and we’re so glad that Goof’s customers and partners will have the opportunity to offset their forest impact easily and efficiently, while growing and promoting their own businesses by utilising Goof’s highly recognized printing platform.”
